Release !

Hi devs !
I'm not goint to hide it, gals and guys, this TRON minigame is 100% hardcore HTML5 AI code. Yup... 100%...
I can already hear some folks grinding their teeth.
Alright, let’s cut to the chase and talk about what I think of AI.
No more sugarcoating—AI’s here, and it’s not going anywhere.
As a composer, I’m not gonna kid myself: I’m probably one of the first in the industry to get shown the door and replaced by AI. So, the big question is, how do we deal with it?
The only answer is to adapt.
Fighting tooth and nail against it feels like a bad move to me, kinda like the gripes about synths back in the ‘80s and ‘90s. People freaked out that they’d replace entire orchestras and tank the music instrument industry.
Me ? I’d rather ride the wave, get cozy with AI, and learn how to use it. My only hope is that AI gets some regulation to limit the loss of skills—kinda like how large-scale, long-term slavery ended up draining expertise from countries that relied on it.
Anyway, sorry if some devs feel burned by AI in coding, but to keep things fair, I also prompted the music for this project.
Call it even, ball’s in the middle.
I spent about ten hours on this project—could’ve been quicker, but I had to learn how to tame the beast of prompting, my friends. And let me tell you, coding with it wasn’t a walk in the park. I spat out a rough draft using Gemini 2.5 Flash (unlimited, I think) and refined it prompt by prompt. Pro tip: save your code often. The Flash version can hallucinate like crazy and sometimes rewrite your code or your game entirely. So, yeah, save.
At its core, CYBERPONG is built using vanilla JavaScript and Three.js for the 3D rendering. This allows to keep the game lightweight and run directly in a browser. The main game logic handles paddle movement, ball physics, and collision detection, while the rendering engine brings the neon-soaked arena to life.
Gemini’s super intuitive, though—it nailed about 90% of my prompts and followed them to a T. The canvas feature is a big plus, letting you see results right away. It’s awesome for retro game prompts and cranks out killer CRT effects, like an old-school terminal, for all you nostalgic types out there.
Sound effects are made by gemini for the retro fx version and future fx are mostly samples.
Hope that hits the vibe you were going for! If you want any tweaks or have more context for Cyberpong, let me know...
Enjoy it !
Bye Devs !
